Irwin Bramson began his career as a mathematician and project manager for the MIT Lincoln Library, the MITRE Corp., Raytheon, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, and other well-known corporations. Despite great success, Mr. Bramson felt called to be a part of something more, and answered this call by shifting gears and becoming an educator.
For over thirty years, Mr. Bramson taught college mathematics at Daniel Webster College, Rivier College, New Hampshire Technical Institute, and Southern New Hampshire University, where he won the prestigious Excellence in Teaching Award in 2009.
Mr. Bramson continued his education career by teaching high school mathematics at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Tyngsborough High, and Bishop Guertin. But it wasn’t until he found St. Bernard’s that he felt “home.”
Certified in AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics, he wowed the students and families of STB with his love for math and his capacity to nurture each and every student that crosses his path. For his efforts, he was named Teacher of the Year in 2016 -- a prize he cherishes more than years of corporate success.
When he’s not in the classroom or at an STB event, Mr. Bramson can be found tinkering with cars, building models, and enjoying time with his wife and family.
Mr. Bramson holds his undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Pure Mathematics from Northeastern University. He teaches Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus at St. Bernard’s.
