Kyle Gillis comes to St. Bernard’s after teaching stints in Alabama, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Oklahoma. He has taught in Public, Private, and Independent Schools. He has predominantly taught English and History. Additionally, Kyle has been an athletic director and he has coached nearly every sport, except soccer.
Kyle started his post secondary education in Vermont and after a long strange trip, he finished in Oklahoma, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Education at two of the Sooner State’s ‘weathervane’ schools.
How did he end up in Oklahoma, you ask? The United States Army was kind enough to send him to Ft. Sill where he was a combat medic for an artillery unit. Prior to Ft. Sill, Kyle was stationed in San Antonio while the first Gulf War was happening. During that time, no foreign or domestic attacks took place in the Alamo City. Kyle takes full credit for keeping San Antonio safe.
Kyle live in Hollis, New Hampshire with his wife Shelly and his close ally, his cavapoo Louis. During his spare time, Kyle likes to play golf, throws his golf clubs, read, and hang with Louis.
He also spends many Saturdays in the fall rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Both of his children went to school there.
