New in Fall 2020: Campus Bound
Thanks to a collaboration with Campus Bound and sponsorship from Rollstone Bank, all STB families have access to this FREE Campus Bound Program, tailored for our community.
Campus Bound's mission is to make expertise and support for college finances available to ALL families.
Monthly, there will be free college financial webinars offered for all STB families. Senior families will receive additional FREE financial services including personalized access to college financial experts via email, a 1-hour consultation and more!
Comprised of the College Counselor and the Dean of Students, the Guidance Department at St. Bernard's works individually with each student, beginning with their enrollment as freshmen and continuing on through graduation and matriculation into college, in an effort to ensure the fullest development of each young man and woman.

The College Counselor, Heather Weibel Tullio '88, works with students one-on-one to carve out the best academic and vocational path suited to each individual, while guiding them to college and beyond.
Freshmen & Sophomore Class:
College Counselor does activities with both classes, to emphasize that "grades matter," the importance of GPA, and the value of sports, clubs, service, and leadership during high school to strengthen college and scholarship applications.
Students take the PSAT each year, during school, and receive PSAT preparation packets.

College Counselor works with the junior class, to explain weighted vs. unweighted GPA, searching for colleges based on GPA, academic, and career interests.
Regular emails sent to students and parents about the best time to visit colleges, good questions to ask, taking notes afterwards, and more.
Parents invited to webinars on How to Help your Child through the College Application Process and College Financing for Juniors.
College Counselor helps students start their Common App account, and gives advice on what to accomplish over the summer between junior and senior year.
Juniors are invited to attend the on-campus visits each fall by 25 colleges and universities.

College Counselor works one-on-one with seniors, giving detailed feedback on college essays, Common App, FAFSA, college choices, career options, and more.
College Counselor meets with the senior class, to guide them through the application process and to answer questions about the college process.
College Counselor takes the senior class to a college fair, where 150 colleges are in attendance.
Parents invited to webinar on "After the College Acceptance" on understanding award letters and how to pay for college.
Regular emails sent to seniors and their families to guide them month-by-month through the college application and selection process.
Seniors are encouraged to ask questions and actively participate in the on-campus visits each fall by 25 colleges and universities.

Dean of Students:
The Dean of Students, Paul Constantino P'15, '16, '21, works individually with students to promote their social and spiritual development. Regular meetings with the Dean of Students staff are required, in order to ensure their needs are met, and so that each student feels known and valued.
In addition to tending to the academic development of each student, the Guidance Department at STB is committed to supporting the growth of the whole person, and cultivating a generation of thoughtful, compassionate leaders who proudly bear the name "Bernardian."
