The high school experience would not be complete without the opportunity for students to participate in extracurricular activities. Developing responsibility, independence, communication, and leadership skills are traits that students should have the opportunity to strengthen or acquire in their school environment and through participation in school activities.
For these reasons, St. Bernard’s High School strives to make a wide range of extracurricular activities available to its students.

Campus Ministry
The heart of STB is Campus Ministry, and the heart of Campus Ministry is the school’s maxim: Love One Another. We live out this motto by hosting community events, rooted in the teachings of Christ, including school-wide spiritual retreats, Catholic liturgies and prayer services, and community outreach projects (food drives, cloting drives, and more). Participants are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God as they share in the Christian message. All faith traditions are welcome! Learn More

As an accredited chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS), NHS is the only club at STB that operates on an invite-only basis. Students with a weighted GPA of 3.70 or higher and who are in good standing with the school’s administration are given the opportunity to engage in service and leadership opportunities within a nationally recognized organization. In order to remain in good standing, NHS requires its members to complete a minimum of twenty hours of community service per year and to engage in leadership opportunities within the school. In the past, school-wide service projects have included city-wide blood drives, organizing all-school assemblies, and honoring the graves of veterans on Memorial Day, among many others. NHS challenges its members to be citizen-scholars, and the STB chapter of NHS is particularly vibrant. Learn More

STB-TV is a student-run broadcast organization that presents the morning news live to the STB community, every day. From surprise guest anchors to sports features, special segments and student-created advertisements, STB TV keeps the student body informed about all things STB (while having a lot of fun, too). Student participants can settle in front of the camera as repeat anchors, work behind the scenes writing scripts, or run tech in the control room. Either way, come and join us for some real, live local journalism! More information: Mr. Dee, mdee@stbernardscchs.org
As one of the largest organizations at STB, Student Government comprises both Student Council and Class Officers. Students from each grade have the opportunity to run for office every year, by appealing to their classmates in a democratic election. Once chosen, student leaders work to plan and carry out fundraisers, class and school events, and promote school spirit. These boards often have weekly meetings and meet monthly with the school principal and Dean of Students to discuss the development of student life at STB. All leaders welcome! Learn More
