The heart of STB is Campus Ministry, and the heart of Campus Ministry is the school’s maxim: Love One Another. We live out this motto by hosting community events, rooted in the teachings of Christ, including school-wide spiritual retreats, Catholic liturgies and prayer services, and community outreach projects (food drives, cloting drives, and more). Participants are encouraged to grow in their relationship with God as they share in the Christian message. All faith traditions are welcome! Learn More
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
St. Bernard's is proud to have 27% students of color. This club provides a safe space to discuss issues relevant to student members. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion members collaborate with National Honor Society to bring in diversity speakers for all-school assemblies. We are currently organizing a black student panel discussion for an all-school assembly. We are always welcoming new members and allies.
For decades, STB’s Drama Club has entertained the Fitchburg community with plays, skits, and musicals. It takes a village to pull off a great production, so come join us as we build sets, run stage crew, and -- of course -- perform on stage. No prior experience required.
Salvēte amīcī, and welcome to Latin Club, where we recreate life in Ancient Rome, filled with Roman festivals, games, and gladiator competitions. No need to speak the mother tongue, just come and have fun!
Whether at monthly Mass, our annual Lessons and Carols celebration, or attending an all-school assembly, you’ve likely been graced with the beautiful sounds of STB’s Music Ministry. A committed group of singers, guitarists, pianists, and percussionists, Music Ministry performs at nearly every STB event, including at monthly Mass and all holiday celebrations. All members of the community are welcome to participate, regardless of prior experience.
As an accredited chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS), NHS is the only club at STB that operates on an invite-only basis. Students with a weighted GPA of 3.70 or higher and who are in good standing with the school’s administration are given the opportunity to engage in service and leadership opportunities within a nationally recognized organization. In order to remain in good standing, NHS requires its members to complete a minimum of twenty hours of community service per year and to engage in leadership opportunities within the school. In the past, school-wide service projects have included city-wide blood drives, organizing all-school assemblies, and honoring the graves of veterans on Memorial Day, among many others. NHS challenges its members to be citizen-scholars, and the STB chapter of NHS is particularly vibrant. Learn More
What could be more fun (or a better destressor!) than a competitive game of ping-pong afterschool? Nothing! Or, at least, that’s what the members of STB’s Ping Pong Club think. Join us every Wednesday for tournament-style matches as we look to claim the ping-pong champion of St. Bernard’s. All STB community members welcome.
The Ski and Snowboard Club offers its members the perfect opportunity to stay active during the long New England winter. Join us as we make our weekly trek to Mt. Wachusett -- our beloved North County ski-spot -- and root each other on down the mountain. All members of the STB community welcome, no experience necessary!
What could be better than eating authentic Spanish food while listening to authentic Spanish music and playing authentic Spanish games? Nada. Come join Spanish club and take part in the fun. All amigos welcome!
STB-TV is a student-run broadcast organization that presents the morning news live to the STB community, every day. From surprise guest anchors to sports features, special segments and student-created advertisements, STB TV keeps the student body informed about all things STB (while having a lot of fun, too). Student participants can settle in front of the camera as repeat anchors, work behind the scenes writing scripts, or run tech in the control room. Either way, come and join us for some real, live local journalism!
As one of the largest organizations at STB, Student Government comprises both Student Council and Class Officers. Students from each grade have the opportunity to run for office every year, by appealing to their classmates in a democratic election. Once chosen, student leaders work to plan and carry out fundraisers, class and school events, and promote school spirit. These boards often have weekly meetings and meet monthly with the school principal and Dean of Students to discuss the development of student life at STB. All leaders welcome! Learn More
As the oldest student organization at St. Bernard’s, Yearbook Club is charged with the yearly publication of The Bernardian, STB’s long-standing yearbook, first printed in 1929. Club members are responsible for documenting student life through pictures and written excerpts, and then arranging their work for publication in a professional manner and in accordance with strict deadlines. Come join this historic organization and put your mark on the community for years to come.
