Sometimes, when you’re in the midst of something momentous you don’t realize it. You put your head down and do what it takes to face challenges and get through. Often, it takes somebody else, an outsider, to realize the significance of the moment. When we started the All In movement in 2019, we were focused solely on keeping our school open and becoming independent so that we could continue to provide a home for students to learn and thrive in a welcoming community. We were in a fight for the very survival of St. Bernard’s and spent the year facing challenges and uncertainty but also celebrating our collective victories.
The year was so transformative and our story so compelling, that it caught the attention of an Emmy-winning Hollywood producer (and former Bernardian) who decided to make a film about our All In year. Our All In movement.
The film is not a reenactment or “based on” a true story. It is our story, told by our students, athletes, our faculty, coaches, administration and families. Titled All In, the film is produced by Jeff Bowler and was shot in Fitchburg. Jeff shared our story about achieving independence for the school, about the football team that defied the odds and about the community of students, families, faculty, administrators and alumni that came together.
You can watch the film on Apple TV+ and on Amazon Prime.
